Deleting your data

Everything Kurio keeps is on your own computer, so you can remove it yourself, at any time. We hold no copy of your photos, posts or Instagram token.

Disconnect Instagram

1. In Kurio, open Get started.
2. Under Instagram sign-in, choose Disconnect next to the account.

Kurio deletes that account's sign-in token from your computer straight away and stops reading its posts.

Remove Kurio's access on Instagram too

In the Instagram app or on instagram.com, open Settings, then Website permissions (or Apps and websites), find Kurio and choose Remove. Instagram then stops accepting the token.

Delete everything Kurio kept

Quit Kurio and delete its data folder: the posts it downloaded, its index, your verdicts, plans and settings. On Windows it is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Kurio for an installed Kurio, or the data folder and config.json next to Kurio's own files for a copy you set up yourself. Your photo files are never touched by any of this.

To take your email off the waitlist, write to nathanlobato6@gmail.com from that address and we'll delete it within 30 days.
